Four things can be true at once.

| Price movement | A price may move between review and submission, so the earlier state no longer applies. |
| Not enough liquidity near the price | A buyer may exist at a materially different level, while the venue’s protective checks prevent an excessive move. |
| No current counterparty quote | No maker is offering to take the specific Combo position right now. |
These are operational explanations, not a ranking of your idea. The same Combo can have a different state later, and nothing in this list predicts when or whether that will happen.

Reduce ambiguity before you do anything else.

- Refresh once, then check whether the state and timestamp changed rather than repeatedly submitting a stale request.
- If you choose to test a smaller size, understand that it is a new request and may still have no buyer.
